Member organizations of East Toronto Health Partners, the Ontario Health Team (OHT) serving East Toronto, are working together to help ensure local residents have the tools they need to stay safe and healthy this cold and flu season.

This includes:

  • Ensuring local residents are aware of the care services that are close to home through tools like ethp.ca/FindServices and the Toronto Health and Social Services Directory;
  • Supporting the delivery of flu and updated COVID-19 vaccines; and
  • Ensuring providers across sectors, including long-term care, home care and community care, have the knowledge and resources needed, including infection prevention guidance and personal protective equipment (PPE), to keep staff and clients safe.

Many of our individual partner organizations are also taking measures, such as temporarily expanding hours and capacity of specific programs and services, to help ensure they may continue to provide timely, high-quality care to local residents.

These measures aim to address an anticipated circulation of flu, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and COVID-19 cases this season, in addition to existing pressures felt across the health and social care system.

We encourage you to review our updated Cold, Flu and COVID-19 Resources page to learn more about what you can do to protect yourself and your loved ones from respiratory illness this season.

This page also has helpful information about where to get the updated COVID-19 vaccine and flu vaccine, where to get rapid antigen tests and more.

Thank you for doing your part to help keep yourself, your loved ones and your East Toronto community safe this cold and flu season.
