The holidays can be a tough time of year for many people, including those who are low-income, isolated or lack resources related to food, health, housing and other supports.
With an increase in cold, flu and respiratory cases this year, families may also be looking for services that help keep their loved ones safe and healthy.
With this in mind, East Toronto Health Partners (ETHP), the Ontario Health Team (OHT) serving East Toronto, has a number of sites open on select dates throughout the holidays that provide various services, including family doctors and nurses, bivalent COVID-19 boosters and flu vaccines, mental health counselling, COVID-19 PCR tests and treatment, and more.
Many of these services are available by walk-in. Our goal is to help ensure you can easily find and get the care you need close to home.
Our sites include:
- Cold, Flu and COVID-19 Clinic for Kids
- Health Access Taylor-Massey
- Community Outreach Centres in Flemingdon Park and Thorncliffe Park
- Vaccine clinic at East York Community Centre
- Clinical Assessment Centre at Michael Garron Hospital (MGH)
These sites offer different services during select dates and times. Please click the links to see address, hours, available services and eligibility.
Please note these sites provide care for urgent but non-life threatening health issues.
If you need emergency care, please go to your nearest hospital emergency department. MGH also operates a Virtual Emergency Department, where you can see a doctor through online video call.
To help you more easily see the different services available at our sites in East Toronto during December 2022, we’ve created a helpful graphic (Download JPG) that you can keep on hand or share with family and friends.
Our ETHP Service Directory also remains available to help you find health, social and community services in East Toronto.
In addition, you can explore additional resources here for how to keep you and your family safe this cold and flu season.
